I am a new artist, picking up a pencil and watercolor brush at the tender age of 62. I am a primitive painter, unschooled and untrained. If there is any talent here (you are welcome to debate) I must credit my mother, Jean Grimm, who has her own painting talent and has encouraged me to develop mine. She is also my nature companion and fellow birder.
There is no reason or rhyme as to why the artist in me needed to come out at this time in my life, I am just grateful that has. If it does no more than soothe my soul than it is worth the time. If it also happens to give someone else joy or pleasure, than that is a double blessing.
The jewelry that followed after the painting is an extension of craft and is why I decided to name this site Eclectic Earth Creations, because there are so many facets and disciplines that are available to enjoy and share in the beauty of this magnificent place we live in.
"Practice any art, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame but to experience becoming, to find out what's inside you, to make your soul grow." Kurt Vonnegut
